2a Pre-high-fidelity gate — decisions, token verification & blockers
✅ Resolved: YUKSEL_2026_Brand_Guidelines_Compressed.pdf received and fully reviewed
All 13 pages of the 2026 PDF inspected (printed pages 3–15). Verified sources: p.3 horizontal logo (min 85 / 102 px) · p.4 vertical logo (min 70 / 90 px) · p.5 full-colour / monochrome / inverted variations · p.6–7 clear space 35% min, 36% recommended · p.9 corporate palette with 80/50/30 tints · p.10 typography (Bogart Bold & Medium primary; Sofia Pro Soft Bold & Regular auxiliary; Futura I logo / Futura II documents) · p.11 international scripts (Cyrillic Bogart Bold / Myriad Pro; Chinese PR6N R; Arabic Bogart Bold / Adobe Arabic) · p.12–13 18 crop illustrations · p.14 icons: Plant, Fruit, Crop, Resistance for catalogues & technical sheets, plus 18 per-crop product icons · p.15 wave construction (angles −22.28° / 2.16° / 22.48° / −26.26°; C2 = C1 − 54.47%; C3 = C1 − 47.78%). The token table below now carries the page reference for every verified value; official brand values are separated from accessibility adaptations and digital UI recommendations. The official logo is used unchanged.
Approvals recorded from Stage 1 review
  • 1b approved: single “Products” item (mega-menu: “Browse by Crop” | “Find a Variety”), ≤7 nav items, Products as main commercial entry, Contact / Request Information highly visible, language vs country/market clearly distinguished, country asked only where it adds value.
  • 1e conditionally approved: pending full-PDF verification (blocked above). Confirmed rules: official logo unchanged; no substitute font in final design; stand-ins temporary and labelled; WCAG AA everywhere; where a brand colour fails contrast it becomes decorative/non-text with an accessible application.
  • 1f approved as hybrid: ~70% Field Editorial / 30% Breeding Systems. Breeding Systems reserved for Variety Finder, technical characteristics, resistances, comparison, tables/filters. Avoid: stock-photo genericism, green/yellow saturation on every section, lab-style coldness, decorative UI over product data, AI-generated crops presented as real varieties.
  • 1g approved for continuation with checks: first-screen homepage answers (who / what / why different / primary action); country = master availability filter but crop exploration allowed before selecting it; availability shown only when verified; variety pages distinguish verified · pending · market-specific data; resistance codes get plain-language tooltips; adaptive contact forms; mobile designed for discovery + conversion, not stacked desktop; no invented claims; [CONTENT TO CONFIRM] convention continues.
Check 1–2 · The 12 decisions — recommendation, alternative, consequence
Decision
Recommendation
Alternative
Consequence of the recommendation
1 · Launch + future sitemap
Adopt launch sitemap 1b; future items staged after launch
Launch with full future scope at once
✅ APPROVED — credible first release; empty sections never ship
2 · Navigation model
Single “Products” mega-menu (Crops + Finder)
Separate Varieties + Crops (8 items)
✅ APPROVED — one measurable funnel; finder one hover away, backed by CTAs
3 · Visual direction
Hybrid: A for storytelling, B for product data
Pure A or pure B
✅ APPROVED — 70/30 weighted to Field Editorial; warm site, rigorous product modules
4 · Support neutrals
Ink #1A1A1A · paper #F7F6F1 · border #DDD9CE as non-brand utility colours
Pure black/white only (harsher, fewer surfaces)
✅ APPROVED — digital-support only: backgrounds, borders, secondary text, disabled/status states; visually subordinate to green/yellow; never presented as brand colours
5 · Tint values
Verify 80/50/30 hex against official palette page, then freeze tokens
Keep computed white-mixes
✅ VERIFIED — 2026 PDF p.9 defines 80/50/30 tint steps for all three colours; digital hex mixes below are the screen application
6 · Fonts until licensed
Hi-fi proceeds with labelled stand-ins; swap to licensed Bogart / Sofia Pro Soft woff2 before production
Pause hi-fi until fonts arrive
✅ APPROVED — temporarily, for hi-fi previews only: Young Serif / Quicksand clearly labelled on every screen, never presented or exported as final production typography
7 · Distributor publication
Contact-only routing at launch; public list later with consent
Public directory at launch
No consent risk; leads still routed correctly; directory can follow
8 · Personal contacts
Office numbers + shared regional inboxes by default
Publish personal mobiles with written consent
Privacy-safe, spam-safe, coverage survives staff changes
9 · Launch languages
English-only launch, IA ready for /{lang}/
Multi-language at launch (needs validated translations)
Faster launch; no machine-translated product data; priority markets to confirm
10 · News at launch
Superseded by client direction: News is a top-level module (Hub + article detail); each category publishes only when populated
Launch with placeholder/empty news
Site never looks inactive (current prototype’s failure mode)
11 · Live chat
Omit unless a staffed service is confirmed
Ship chat/WhatsApp if service exists
No dead “Open Live Chat” buttons; forms carry routing instead
12 · Claim policy
HR/IR codes + ISF legend only; retire “world leader”, “full/naturally resistant”
Keep marketing claims with legal review per market
Liability-safe, credible with agronomists, consistent across markets
All 12 decisions closed: 1–4 and 6 approved; 5 verified against 2026 PDF p.9; 7–12 provisionally approved — reversible, guideline-compliant, no unverified claims, [CONTENT TO CONFIRM] convention maintained, no AI-generated product imagery presented as real varieties.

#1A1A1A · #F7F6F1 · #DDD9CE
✅ APPROVED digital-support colours (decision 4) — accessibility adaptation, not official brand colours
Check 5 · Needed for the first hi-fi batch
Blocking (batch cannot be brand-final without):
  • Complete brand-guidelines PDF — ✅ received and reviewed (2026, 13 pages)
  • Licensed Bogart + Sofia Pro Soft webfonts — ✅ labelled stand-ins approved for previews only (decision 6); still required before production
Needed to replace placeholders in the batch:
  • 1 hero photo (real Yüksel field/greenhouse) + 3–6 variety photos for one crop
  • Validated dataset for one crop end-to-end: segments, 1 complete variety record (traits, HR/IR codes, seasons per market, country availability), technical sheet PDF
  • Validated homepage figure set (or the figures render as [CONTENT TO CONFIRM])
  • Confirmed crop list for the portfolio grid
  • Crop illustration + icon vectors; wave construction file
Everything missing renders as a labelled placeholder — the batch can be designed and reviewed without it, but not published.
Gate cleared: PDF verified, decisions 1–12 closed. First hi-fi batch in progress — desktop homepage, mobile homepage, desktop Variety Finder, desktop variety detail (70/30 Field Editorial / Breeding Systems). Remaining templates wait for review of this batch.

Yüksel Seeds — International Website
Stage 1 deliverable · Information architecture · Digital brand foundation · Visual directions · Low-fidelity wireframes
17 September 2026 · New design project — existing prototype used as audit reference only. No production, hosting or DNS touched. Stops before high-fidelity build, pending approval.
1 · Attachments reviewed
✓ Website audit (DOCX) — full text extracted and read (829 paragraphs): executive summary, 28-URL sitemap, page-by-page findings, contact/i18n/accessibility/SEO sections, missing-content register and confirmation questions.
✓ Brand guidelines (2025/26) — supplied as 16 page images: cover, contents, horizontal & vertical logo, variations, clear space, incorrect usage, illustrations, catalogue, posters, newsletter, roll-up banners.
✓ horizontal Logo.png — full-colour horizontal logo with ® on transparent background, high resolution; used untouched throughout this document.
Partial source note: the guideline pages for the corporate colour palette, typography standards, official icons and wave construction were not among the supplied images. Colour hex values, tint percentages and font names below are taken from the written brief; those four guideline pages plus vector assets are listed in the asset request (1h). No values were invented.
2 · Mandatory brand rules (summary)

  • 80% / 50% / 30% tints permitted; no unrelated accent colours. Any support neutral is flagged “proposed — requires approval”.
  • Typography: Bogart for display/headings, Sofia Pro Soft for body, nav, forms, UI. No Barlow as primary. Licensed webfont files to be confirmed before production.
  • Logo: attached horizontal full-colour version only, icon + wordmark together, no redraw / recolour / crop / stretch / rotate / effects; ® kept; clear space 35% min (36% recommended); min widths 85 px (horizontal), 102 px (with claim), 70 / 90 px (vertical). Header uses horizontal without claim. Other versions: request official assets, never derive from the PNG.
  • Graphic language: official one-line crop illustrations (18 crops) and 4 official icons (Plant, Fruit, Crop, Resistance) only — no emoji, no mixed icon libraries. Official wave construction used selectively and accurately.
  • WCAG 2.2 AA: every pairing tested (1e); no yellow body text on white; visible focus; reduced-motion support; never colour alone.
3 · Audit findings that shape this redesign
Observed on the current prototype (site.gortina.io), 17 Sep 2026. Diagnostic input only — unverified figures and claims from the prototype are never carried over as facts.
Product funnel does not exist. All 5 crop links 404; /products is empty; no segments, filters, variety pages or search results (“marcus” finds nothing). → The Crop → Segment → Variety journey is the core of the new IA.
Company figures contradict each other (18 vs 11 crops; 900+ vs 575+ varieties; 5 vs 12 stations; 54+ vs 85+ countries…). → One validated figure set, server-rendered; until then every figure is a visible [CONTENT TO CONFIRM].
Global Network and News are empty; country selector points to invalid domains (.br, .jd; UK → .eu). → Country-first routing with internal country pages; news hidden until populated.
Placeholders & mismatched stock imagery (French “à ajouter” on brand pages, asparagus for eggplant). → Photography direction + labelled placeholders until official assets arrive.
Brand scope conflicts: Sweetloom described as tomato and as pepper; Princessa / Cu&Go scope unclear. → Brand pages designed, content gated on confirmation.
Contact cannot route or comply: no country/profile/crop fields, no consent, dead Live Chat, personal mobiles published. → Routed enquiry journeys + consent by design (1d).
Unproven claims (“World leader”, “full/naturally resistant”, agronomic stats). → Claim policy: HR/IR codes with ISF legend only, from the validated product database.
Accessibility gaps: no focus styles, unassociated labels, sub-24px targets, heading misuse, content hidden until animated. → Foundation ships with focus states, form patterns, motion rules.
Worth keeping: green/yellow consistency, clear 8-item nav shell, ToBRFV campaign structure, complete legal set, Tobrossa block as seed of the variety-detail model.

  • Technical: structured data (Organization, Product, JobPosting), sticky mobile contact bar on product pages, live chat / WhatsApp if the service is confirmed.
C · Navigation: “Varieties” + “Crops” separate vs a single “Products”
VarietiesCropsInnovationBrandsCompanyGlobal NetworkNewsContact
Option 1 — separate (8 items).
Variety Finder gets top-level visibility for distributors and agronomists who already know variety names.
Two doors to the same database: growers think crop-first, so “Varieties” vs “Crops” forces a guess before the funnel starts — exactly where the current prototype already loses users.
8 items crowd the desktop bar and mobile menu; “Varieties” and “Crops” compete for the same clicks and SEO focus.
RECOMMENDED
Products ▾InnovationBrandsCompany ▾NewsGlobal NetworkContact
Option 2 — single “Products” (7 items).
One funnel — Products opens a mega-menu with two clear columns: Browse by crop (crop hubs) and Find a variety (finder), so both mental models land in the same validated database.
Availability and contact logic stay consistent; one section to translate and maintain; room in the bar for Global Network and Contact, the two commercial pages.
Finder visibility is protected elsewhere: homepage quick finder, persistent header search, and a “Find a variety” primary CTA site-wide.
One extra hover/tap to reach the finder from the nav — mitigated by the direct CTAs above.
Recommendation: single Products item containing Crops and the Variety Finder. Usability: matches the grower’s crop-first model while keeping a named, always-one-click finder for professionals. Commercial: every product path ends on a variety detail page with country availability and a local-contact CTA — one funnel to measure and optimise instead of two competing ones.

Variety Finder logic
Country / market Crop Segment Subsegment Growing environment Season / cycle Fruit type Resistance Brand
  • Country is the master filter: it scopes results to locally available varieties and sets the local contact shown on every card and detail page.
  • Without a country selected, results show a neutral note: “Availability varies by country — select yours.” The site never implies every variety is available everywhere.
  • Filters are cumulative with visible result count and one-tap clearing; empty states suggest removing the last filter, never a dead end.
  • Only database-validated varieties are indexed; resistance filter uses coded HR/IR values with the ISF legend linked.
  • URL-addressable filter state (shareable, SEO-safe with canonical rules).
Variety detail model
  • Name · crop · segment / subsegment · brand membership
  • Official photography (labelled placeholder until supplied)
  • Validated positioning statement
  • Plant characteristics · fruit characteristics (validated values only)
  • Growing environment · season / transplant window per market
  • HR / IR resistance codes + legend + disclaimer (“per ISF definitions; consult your local advisor”) — never “full/strong/naturally resistant” prose
  • Country availability list (drives visibility in finder)
  • Technical-sheet PDF download
  • Related varieties (same segment)
  • Local representative block for the visitor’s country
  • Enquiry form pre-filled with country, crop, variety
  • Publishing rule: a variety without validated data does not go live.
Global Network logic
  • Entities supported: subsidiaries · local offices · country coverage · distributors · local websites · regional contacts — all sourced from a confirmed list [CONTENT TO CONFIRM]; nothing pre-populated from the prototype’s conflicting data.
  • Country page = local office/partner, portfolio availability, local website link (only confirmed valid domains), enquiry route.
  • Countries without a local entity route to a named regional contact inbox.
  • No personal mobile numbers by default — office numbers and shared regional inboxes unless written publication consent is confirmed.
  • Commercial enquiries from any country page carry the country code into the routed contact form.
  • Distributor listing policy (public list vs contact-only) is a pending decision (1h).

  • Responsive: fluid grid 12 → 6 → 4 columns; cards wrap 4 / 2 / 1; no fixed heights on text boxes; reduced-motion honoured (no content hidden behind animation).
Illustrations, icons, wave & photography
  • Crop illustrations: only the official one-line white illustrations (18 crops), on brand green or green tints, as section backdrops and crop identifiers — never emoji or third-party icons. Vector originals requested; low-res PDF extractions are not used in production.
  • Icons: the four official icons (Plant, Fruit, Crop, Resistance) structure variety data blocks — the same roles they play in the printed catalogue. Any additional UI glyph (search, menu, chevron) is drawn to match their stroke style and flagged for approval.
  • Wave: official wave construction only (guideline page requested), used selectively — hero base, footer top, and the photo-to-green transition on campaign pages. No arbitrary approximated curves.
  • Photography: commissioned only — clean-background fruit close-ups for cards (catalogue style), wide greenhouse/field/station scenes for heroes, real people in labs and trials. No generic stock; every image slot in the wireframes is a labelled placeholder until official photography arrives.
Prohibited logo treatments (from the guidelines)
✗ Rotating or tilting the logo
✗ Changing icon–wordmark relationship or separating them
✗ Recolouring outside official variations
✗ Wordmark without the icon / icon alone
✗ Stretching or distorting

Breeding stories, told by peopleMeet R&D
Typography: big Bogart headlines (56–72), generous whitespace, short Sofia Pro Soft paragraphs; editorial pull-quotes from breeders.
Colour balance:
Photography: hero-scale fields, greenhouses and people; cards use clean fruit close-ups. Waves as photo-to-page transitions.
Illustrations: sparse — chapter markers on green tint bands.
Variety cards: photo-forward, soft radius, minimal chrome.
Nav / buttons / forms: white header, pill buttons, roomy fields; motion: slow fades and parallax-free reveals, fully reduced-motion safe.
Advantages: warm, premium, differentiates from technical competitors; flatters strong photography; story-driven About/Innovation.
Risks: depends on commissioned photography that doesn’t exist yet; lower data density can frustrate agronomists; weaker fit for filter-heavy pages.
BBreeding Systems
Modern breeding innovation company — structured, technical, product-led. Green surfaces with illustration patterns; dense, data-rich modules; yellow for actionable elements.

KEY FIGURES — [CONTENT TO CONFIRM] · rendered as data strip
Typography: Bogart at moderate sizes (40–56) with strong Sofia Pro Soft data labels, uppercase eyebrows, tabular figures for specs.
Colour balance:
Photography: catalogue-style fruit on clean grounds, tightly cropped; contextual photos secondary. Illustration patterns carry crop identity on green surfaces (as on the roll-ups).
Variety cards: compact, spec-first — chips, availability flag, quick-compare checkbox (future).
Nav / buttons / forms: squared 4–6 px radii, persistent filter bar on product pages, yellow reserved for the primary action; motion: instant, functional (filter transitions, no scroll theatrics).
Advantages: ships credibly with few photos (illustrations + data carry it); ideal for finder/segment/detail pages; reads “serious breeder” to distributors and agronomists.
Risks: can feel cold on Company/Careers pages; heavy green surfaces demand disciplined contrast; denser UI needs stricter content governance.
Both directions use the identical official logo, colours, tints, typography and graphic language — they differ only in layout, density, photography role and storytelling. A hybrid is viable: B for the product funnel, A for company storytelling. Direction choice is an approval item in 1h.

Decisions requiring Yüksel approval
  1. Launch sitemap (1b) and future sitemap
  2. Navigation: single “Products” item (recommended) vs separate Varieties/Crops
  3. Visual direction: A · Field Editorial vs B · Breeding Systems (or hybrid)
  4. Proposed digital-support neutrals (ink #1A1A1A, paper #F7F6F1, border #DDD9CE)
  5. Digital tint hex values vs official palette page
  6. Preview-font policy until Bogart / Sofia Pro Soft webfonts are licensed
  7. Distributor publication policy: public list vs contact-only routing
  8. Personal contact policy: office/regional inboxes by default (recommended)
  9. Launch languages and priority markets
  10. News module: top-level News Hub + article detail with configurable categories; per-category publish-when-populated (updated per client correction)
  11. Live chat / WhatsApp: include only if the service exists
  12. Claim policy: HR/IR codes only; retirement of “world leader”, “full/naturally resistant”
Recommended scope for the first high-fidelity prototype (after approval)
1 · Foundation
Design tokens, header/footer, buttons, forms, variety card, focus states — in the approved direction.
2 · Product funnel
Homepage + Variety Finder + one Crop hub + one Segment page + one Variety detail, using one crop’s validated data end-to-end.
3 · Conversion
Global Network + one country page + routed Contact with consent — desktop and mobile.
Out of scope
Corporate pages, brands, news, careers, i18n — added after the funnel is approved. English only; every unconfirmed value shown as [CONTENT TO CONFIRM].
Stage 1 ends here. No high-fidelity build starts until the sitemap, digital brand foundation, visual direction and wireframes above are explicitly approved.
